Very moving place to visit! The bus tour is only $12 and is definitely worth all the money.

Take the bus tour and bring water. It's a lot of walking, and a long trip if you want to get off the bus occasionally, but very worth the trip.

I recommend a visit here. The changing of the guard is a must see. Also several monuments. Be prepared to walk with comfortable shoes it’s very hilly. Plenty of pay parking.

Arlington National Cemetery, once the home of General Robert E. Lee, is the country’s largest military cemetery. Tours are available for a small fee or you can walk the grounds yourself.

Aside from the obvious of the eternal flame and the Tomb of the Unknown, you should also go see the graves of the Apollo 1 astronauts in the monument to the USS Maine

This is a place to pay respect to the veterans who are interred here, many of whom died to preserve our freedom. You can also find the Tomb of the Unknowns & can see the changing of the guard.
