The fort occupied a strategic location. I have passed by it multiple times on my previous trips to the northern part of Lebanon, but this was first time visiting.
Before visiting, the know-it-all in our group told me that the fort was pre-Roman. The signs in front said that archaeologists believe that it dates from the 17th century and not earlier as the masonry does not match.
